The S-boom telescopic booms by Genie have been equipped with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined areas during industrial and construction jobs. They are also recognized for their ability to maneuver through a job site rapidly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs which were previously inaccessible by standard jibs. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This particular feature allows over and up reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms platform has to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be fully raised at the same time. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features reduces the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing both productivity and effectiveness.
