Case had established themselves in the construction equipment industry by the year 1912. They became a producer of road building machinery including steam rollers and road graders. Case grew their construction machinery company through different acquisitions, beginning with the American Tractor Corporation during 1957. Case had expanded their company by the middle part of the 1990s to become the top producer of light-sized to medium-sized construction machines.
During the year 1999, Case merged with New Holland to become CNH Global. This company became responsible for advertising some of the top brands of construction and agricultural machinery in the world.
