CareLift Equipment has been engineering and building quality rough terrain forklifts since 1962. Each day the company strives to help all their customers reach their objectives and deliver value as they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
Boom lifts come in 2 general types, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. These units are normally hydraulically powered. Most often straight booms are the great choice for tasks that need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery could rotate 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be raised vertically to below horizontal. Since the operator is able to maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machinery. These models come in propane, gas or diesel configurations as well as 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise not accessible. These lift models perform tasks that straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are almost identical to the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects in the work environment.
To be able to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is fully extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is required before using boom lifts in order to guarantee the operator, the jobsite and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for tasks needing a lot of man hours to be carried out in a lot less time. These machinery have greatly increased productivity and have revolutionized the material handling industry.
