Types of Hydraulic Cranes
Hydraulic cranes are among the most commonly utilized types of crane in the construction industry. They are utilized to construct everything from skyscrapers and buildings to roadways and freeway overpasses.

Cranes come in a huge variety of units, styles and sizes. These different units enable the owner and operators to execute many more functions in their industry. Choosing the right kind of crane is very crucial for making sure that the material can be moved safely and efficiently to the location it has to get to in order for the construction process to start.

Truck Cranes
Normally, truck cranes have 2 different cabs. One cab is for controlling the crane and the other is for driving the truck when the unit is in transport mode. These cranes are really useful for building sites where a crane is needed in numerous different locations for the duration of the build. This is because of the fact that the crane is capable of being driven easily from one place to another.

Moreover, the cranes can be transported to various construction sites on the road because they could drive themselves and this eliminates the need for extra transport vehicles. Being able to travel on their own greatly reduces transport costs at the end of the day.

The truck crane however is not stable enough to handle all the major loads that a hydraulic crane could handle. Thus, to be able to fix this problem, outriggers can be extended from the deck. The outriggers make use of hydraulic pressure in order to lift the truck slightly off of the ground, making it stable and balanced.

Crawler-Mounted Cranes
Crawler cranes feature large tracks on the base of the crane. These huge tracks are similar to the ones seen on other construction equipment such as backhoes and bulldozers. The tracks allow the crane to move around a construction locations successfully.
