Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator a safe and efficient place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major study of operators' working conditions. The most important objective is to offer optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and big glass areas unobstructed to keep the field of vision clear. The instrumental panel is ergonomically designed and is gently rounded and extremely comfortable. This specific area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all important info, so as to keep the operator working as efficiently as possible.
Thanks to the insulated mounting to the chassis, vibration levels and overall noise levels are kept low. The hydraulic controls and the operators' seat are all individually adjustable as a way to maintain an optimum working position. Additionally, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for maximum comfort. There are 2 simple to operate, ergonomically positioned multi-functioned levers which are provided for the window washers, horn, gear changing and windscreen wipers.
A ventilation/heating unit ensure a comfortable cab temperature for the operator. The incoming air is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machinery has a robust 3-speed fan for recirculation, defrosting, heating and cooling. As an extra option, air conditioning can be fitted.
Instrumentation
In the Spirit Delta, the instrument panel has logically grouped units that are all within easy reach. Standard instrumentation includes: warning lamps, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. Furthermore, gauges display values for engine coolant, gearbox oil pressure, fuel quantity and operating time.
One of the important options the 8 to 10 tonne trucks could be equipped with is the ECS or Electronic Control System monitoring. This allows for easy supervision of the model. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS and incorporated by this system. The full text display and the single warning lamp show any faults that occur and their current values.
